A Taste of
The Highlands
The demand for sustainable, locally sourced produce has never been greater. Food lovers are becoming more interested in knowing where their food is coming from. This is what makes our G&M WHYTE food vans so very unique: all the meats we offer come from long-established farmers and our delicious cakes and breads from local bakers. Even our tea is ethically and sustainably produced.

G&M Whyte are a delight to work with. Their food and coffee outlets are of the highest standard. We hope that they will be part of the fixtures at the Lonach Highland Gathering & Games for many years to come.

Amazing service when we had no power for days in Hatton, offering free hot food served with a smile they filled up flasks and offered candles. Thank you so much you made a massive difference to our community in a time of need.

Their quality does not stop at the products they sell but extends also to the standards of the equipment (vans, trailers, trams) that they operate and their very professional and courteous approach and behaviour.
Look out for our food trucks at Scotland’s Edinburgh Hogmanay Festival, where we successfully provide catering on behalf of Unique Events. We also make annual trips to the Royal Highland Show, the Braemar Gathering, the Turriff Show and the massively popular Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival.
We started this family business over 40 years ago. At the time we only did Keith Show & Turriff Show. At that time, we started with a wooden frame and a lorry cover, serving our well-liked own recipe burger which we still do today, with onions, and our own Steak rolls. After about 5 years we decided to go further afield and buy our first ever catering van and do more events including farm Roups, horse shows and more local Agricultural shows.
We then progressed to more units and to do more shows as the family were at an age where they could take on more responsibility. As the family has grown and expanded, so has our business, now attending many shows and events throughout the North of Scotland and the Highlands, you can find our distinctive units at most Agricultural events where we a still serving our own recipe burger with it’s dressing of Fresh fried onions!
